Please recommend a background noise cancellation solution

Dear experts,

We are looking for a background noise cancellation solution for our 2-way radio products (walkie-talkie).

The noises required to be cancelled are: (1) noise in the field of fire. (2) noise in the activity field, such as parade, sports meet, and etc. (3) noise in the accident field, such tranfic accident. (4) noise in the streets, such as pedestrian voice, motor voice. (5) noise in the bus or train station. (6) noise in the restaurant. (7) noise in the rain, Very loud thunder, close thunder crack. (8) other noises.

Can you recommend a background noise cancellation solution to us? Thank you!

Welcome to E2E and thank you for your interest in our products!

We recommend to take a look at our DSP devices. The C64x+ and C55x processors are good devices to remove and minimize echo and noise effects in an acoustic system.

Hi Luis,

We don't require echo cancellation. We just require noise cancellation. Our product has own processsor. So we don't want to add another strong processor like C64x+ and C55x processors.

TI has a CODEC TLV320AIC3256 that has miniDSP to support application-specific algorithms. I am not sure whether this CODEC can meet our requirements.

Hi, Wells,

Effectively, the TLV320AIC3256 has programmable miniDSP. We don't have predefined algorithms to reduce noise in our codec miniDSP. However, these miniDSPs feature biquads filters with multiple instances, gains, mixers, delays, etc. You may be able to program your own filters if required. I would recommend to request access to PurePath Studio (Portable version). This is our software that configures the codecs miniDSP.
