PurePath console 3 "Available Apps" list only shows "I2C Master"

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5751MEVM, TAS5751M

I am working with a PurePath Console Motherboard AIP005F and TAS5751MEVM which
were acquired about a month ago. I just downloaded and installed PurePath
Console 3 which went fine. However the list of "Available EVM Apps" after I
sign in only shows "I2C Master" which I installed.

I'm logged in and have a license for PPC3. There is no indication in the PPC3
documentaion that TAS5751 requires an additional license. And it IS listed as
being supported by PPC3 (and only PPC3). Also the motherboard is plugged into
USB, the TAS57521MEVM is plugged onto the motherboard, a 24V power supply is
attached, and all of the proper LEDs are illuminated.

So how do I get the "Available EVM Apps" populated with TAS5751MEVM (or anything else) so I can

install it and get moving?

  • Hi, Howard,

Thanks for your comments. The software for the TAS5751MEVM can be requested in the EVM product folder. In general, we give access to this software and PPC when the requester specifies the TAS5751M as the device used in the request for PurePath Console. I will ask with our software team to grant your access to this tool.

  • Thanks for the information. Following your iunstructions I was able to get the TAS5751M/5733L App to
appear in the Available list and install it although I had to exit then
restart PPC3 to do so. And the diagnostics for my setup pass so I should be good to go.

Next revision of the PurePath Console 3 User Guide should make it clear that
the Availabnle Apps list is typically empty (except for "A Generic I2C Master
for all devices") and that individual devices must be requested and licensed
    before they appear.

However I did see a list elsewhere of devices that PPC3 can work with. Some
had a * reference to a note that they were separately licensed but TAS5751M
did not have such a * reference.

  • Hi, Howard,

Thanks for the feedback. We will consider your comments for the next review of the PPC3 User's Guide. The TAS5751M was released after PPC3, so I think that is why there is no mention of this EVM in the User's Guide.
