Can TAS5086 work without the MCLK signal?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5086

Can TAS5086 work without the MCLK signal? Like using the internal PLL to generate the required clock. Does it need I2C configuration?

  • Hi, David,

I think this device needs MCLK to operate properly and internal PLL is used to generate the internal clock required to keep the device running until a valid MCLK is provided. I asked my colleague expert in this device to take a look at this question. He will get back to you after holiday.
