I worked with a capacitor vendor to test their capacitor (0.5 Farad / 5V) with our boosted class-D amplifier, TPA2013D1. It greatly improves the audio experience since you have essentially unlimited current available.

Over the weekend, I saw a flashlight designed for the law-enforcement market that uses capacitors instead of batteries. Their ad claimed they could recharge in 90 seconds.
