PCM1864-Q1: PCM1864-Q1 restriction for DOUT2

Hi,

I would like you to confirm about below.

* When user want to use DOUT2, it seems that SPI signal or I2C signal should be lost (DOUT2 is assigned as multi-function.).

The question is

"When user want to use DOUT2, is my understanding that PCM1864-Q1 can NOT communicate w/ HOST device ?

I'm not sure how DOUT2 should be used...

Hi, Machida-san,

DOUT2 can be routed through any of the available GPIOs in the PCM1864-Q1 by configuring the required register (0x10 or 0x11). Pin 23 is not used as DOUT2, so the communication with the host is not interrupted.

I almost understood about how user use DOUT2. But I have one question.

* If user will use SPI interface, 22 pin(GPIO0) is assigned SPI function.
So, in this case, DOUT2 can be assigned only from GPIO1 to GPIO3(If user will use I2C interface, GPIO0 also can be assigned as DOUT2..). Is my understanding correct ?

Hi, Machida-san,

That is correct, DOUT2 can be routed through any of the GPIO pins that are not used by other function.
