PCM5142: pcm5142 biquad EQ calculation

Dear Sir,

PCM5142 with mini-DSP could do many function . And now we wish the multi-bands EQ could be adjustable by end-customer .

Is there any S/W or GUI like "TIBQ" could create setting that end-customer wanted . And we just need combine these setting into MCU's code to get EQ effect for end-customer .

    Hi, Terry,

    If the multi-band Equalization is being done with biquad filters in PurePath Studio (PPS), the TIBQ tool could be used as guideline; The biquad coefficient calculation is the same for the EQ components in PPS and TIBQ tool.

    However,  If customer is using the 5-band graphic EQ blocks from PPS, we don't have a tool like TIBQ that could be used as reference. This is because the frequency for each 5-band EQ block is fixed to 100, 330, 1000, 3300 and 10000 Hz and the only parameter that can be changed is the gain for each band. The gain parameters in the 5-band graphic EQ block can be adjusted by End-customer by updating the registers allocated for  of each gain parameter. For more information about the 5-band graphic EQ block, please refer to the help file that can be accessed by right-clicking in the block in PPS.
