TLV320ADC3101: :TLV320DAC3120: Mic and Speaker Detection.

Hi,

As we are using adc3101 and dac3120 codec chipsets. We need to know the status of the mic and speaker if it is connected or not.

Is there any register's available for reading the mic and speaker detection?

Hi, Mohan,

The TLV320DAC3120 has a headset detection feature, but it will work only when a headset jack is detected, not in a system where the speakers and microphone are connected to different ports.

Hi Diego,

Our concern is only for Microphone and Speaker in their respective chipsets.

We would like to know, like headset detection, is there any provision for detecting Speaker and Microphone. Because we have seen in other Vendor Chipsets like an interrupt or register settings for detecting Microphone and Speaker.

Hi, Mohan,

Unfortunately there is no other detection method aside from the previously mentioned headset detection feature of the TLV320DAC3120. A possible workaround would be to use an external IC for the detection, like the TS3A227E.
