LM48821: Single-ended Input Configuration

Part Number: LM48821

Hi,

Could you please confirm whether it is possible to apply the single-ended input configuration to LM48821 as below ?
If yes, does the voltage gain become -6dB in the case of the single-ended input ?

Best regards,
Kato

  • Hi Kato-san,

You can use single-ended input configuration, there should be no problem.
You can adjust the gain/volume through I2C control.
Using single-ended or differential input configuration does not affect LM48821 gain. However single-ended input would need double the signal amplitude as it would need for differential input, in order to obtain the same output level. You can increase LM48821 gain to compensate this.
