Hi,

I am using TAS5720L on my new project. It only has a mono speaker output and driven by TAS5720L. I can set either L or R audio channel output from the speaker by different setting via I2C but I can't find how to set it to mixed mode (L + R).

Does the amplifier support mix mode (L +R) output?

Hello Stephen! The TAS5720L amplifier is a simple mono fixed type of device that is simply controlled via the I2C and a few registers. What is it that you are actually trying to do?

Hi Stephen,

There is no mixer inside TAS5720L. You can only choose to output either left or right channel data.

I am looking for a way to input standard stereo I2S signal into the amplifier and L+R channel signal output from the speaker instead of just L or R channel.

Hi Stephen,

TAS5720L is not able to meet this kind of requirement. You may consider TAS5754M or TAS5782M, which has an embedded DSP inside and therefore can support mixer.
