LME49724: Driving a single ended single supply LME49724 with a single supply LME49726

Part Number: LME49724
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LME49726
I have a LME49726 output that I need to interface to the non-inverting input of a LME49724 that are both also operating on the same 5 volt supply.
The LME49724 is configured with a single ended input per figure 51 of the data sheet.
LME49726 is outputing voice band audio to the LME49724.  The LME49724 is driving a 600 ohm balanced audio input.
The LME49726 output is biased at 2.5 volts. It appears that per the LME49724 circuit shown in figure 51, I need a voltage source referenced to ground.
Please help / advise.

  • Hi Rod,

Is my understanding correct that you ask about how to interface LME49726 output with LME49724 SE input?
As you said, LME49726 is a single-ended and in a single supply operation it will be biased to mid-supply. You must place a series capacitor between LME49726 output and LME49724 input. This is called "AC coupling" were the DC component is removed from the signal.
