PCM3168A-Q1: Request for Purepath console2 and TAS5754 PPCAPP access

Part Number: PCM3168A-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM3168A, PCM3168

Hi All,

I am promoting our PCM3168A to our customer, and need to evaluate the PCM3168A on the motherboard, i also have a TAS5754 EVM. And i have already installed the PPC3, but seems PPC3 doesn't have TAS5754 app, but PPC2 can control the TAS5754.

So could anyone give me access of the PPC2 download link and the TAS5754 GUI app? Or could you please give me any other GUI app which can be run on PPC3 to control the mother board?

Thanks.

Best Regards

Charles Zhang

  • Hi, Charles,

PurePath Console 2 is also available for download in mySecure Software site, it is located below the download section for PPC3.

Regarding the PCM3168 control question, you should be able to use the I²C Master tool that is available in PPC3 to control manually any device connected to the I²C bus of the PPCMB.

  • Hi Diego,

Thank you very much for your kind reply. Do you have some reference manual how i can control the mother board directly? Thanks.

  • Hi, Charles,

Unfortunately, I don't have a specific reference manual apart from the PPC3 User Manual. There you can find information about the correct syntax to write the I²C coefficients to the slave devices (Appendix A.). The manual can be found in PPC3 section of mySecure Software site.

Once the board is powered and connected to the PC, you can open I²C Master app and click on connect (left-bottom side). Then, you can use the interface to write the coefficients to the PCM3168A directly (address 0x88).
