Linux/TPA6120A2: Noise using TDH 39 - Audiometer Project

Part Number: TPA6120A2

Tool/software: Linux

Hello, I'm having trouble with noise using the TPA6120A2. When you enable the output without any signal at the input, a small noise appears. Is this noise characteristic of TPA6120A2? I am sending the Electrical Schematic to assist in the analysis.

Thanks

  • Hi Diego,

    Welcome to e2e.
I see four different implementations of TPA6120A2. Is this noise you mention present in all of them? Do you have any way to measure this noise?
As this device is not enhanced in pop performance, it has a relatively high offset voltage spec. Perhaps this is what your listening?
Is there a chance that you can disconnect the input of the amplifier just to verify if the noise is not coming from a previous stage and is probably being amplified at the TPA6120A2 stage.
