Hi.

The datasheet says: –0.3 to 7 V.

So a 0v centered input signal is not valid ?

Hi Davide,

INL pin and INR pin are biased at AVCC/8 internally, you could find this info on in the table on Page 4 in the datasheet. In the Figure 28 in the datasheet, you could find that there are 1uF DC blocking capacitors on the input pins. So you can use 0 centerd input signal, and it will be biased at AVCC/8 after the input capacitors.

So if I'm using 12V AVCC, I must stay below 3Vpp input to avoid input clipping ?

Hi Davide,
The min Gain setting is 20dB, so you also need to consider the peak value of the enlarged output signal is less than the power supply(12V here), else the output will still be clipped by the power supply.
