Linux/TLV320AIC3268: Audio serial interface

Part Number: TLV320AIC3268

Tool/software: Linux

Hi Ti,

I am using AIC3268 in our custom board.

There are 3 audio sources:

1. Analog line in signal

2. Digital HDMI audio

3. Digital SDI audio

As I know, there are 3 audio serial interfaces in AIC3268.

Is it possible to clock out the following I2Ss to our main chip?

1. I2S with mixed audio (line in + HDMI +SDI)

2. I2S with HDMI audio

3. I2S with SDI audio

I could mix line in, HDMI, SDI audio in miniDSP and clock out mixed data in ASI1 to our main chip already.

If I want to clock out HDMI audio in ASI2, such as:

HDMI audio->SRC(sample rate converter)->AIC3268 ASI2 in->AIC3268 ASI2 out->main chip audio serial interface.

The BCLK and WCLK of ASI2 both connected with SRC and main chip. The clock mode is master mode. is it OK?

Thanks

BR,

Steven

  • Hi, Steven,

The application you are describing should be possible with the  'AIC3268, the three serial interfaces are independent of each other and each bus can be configured as either master or slave.
