Hi Team,

Does TAS2555 has Device ID register to indicate device? Which is like TAS2557 (book=0x00 page=0x01 address=0x7D).

Is the only way that main chip to recognize TAS2555 or TAS2557?

Hi Daniel,

Both TAS2555 and TAS2557 have two multifunction pins that can be used to select one of four possible I2C addresses. Selecting a different address for each device you can identify and selectively communicate with them.

Hi Ivan,

Thanks you for the address pin suggestion. But we want to use the same slave address for TAS2555 and TAS2557, because the schematic is fixed.

Could we use device ID to recognize them? Does TAS2555 has Device ID register to indicate?

Daniel,

The TAS2555 also have this Device ID register, for this device it reads 0x10.
