TPA4411: Powerpads connected to GND

Part Number: TPA4411

Hello

On the data sheet it is stated that exposed PAD should be isolated from GND.
However, I would like to ask you a few questions to change the design of the client.

When you connect it to this, how is it structurally connected?

What happens when you connect them to design them?

Measurement failed when resistance of pvss and exposed pad is measured with multimeter.
then If measurements can not be made with a multimeter is it high resistance? Unless it connected to a different capacitor or somethings?

  • Hi Taehun,

Welcome to E2E, thanks for your interest in our products.
If the exposed pad is connected to GND you would connect Pvss internally to GND, this condition avoids the device works properly. The exposed metal pad must be soldered down to a layer on the PCB, but this layer shouldn't be connected to GND or power as you mentioned.

We can't guarantee the right operation of the device if you don't follow the provided guidelines in the datasheet.
