Audio Codec EVM - Product Selection

I am looking to prototype a real-time wireless audio transmitter. I will want:

Tx:
24-bit 96kHz ADC (preferably 5V  input signal range)
SPI/I2S/PCM/etc output
Onboard DSP/FPGA (optional)

Rx:
24-bit 96kHz DAC
Onboard DSP/FPGA (optional)

I already own some embedded dev boards which can handle wireless communication, but I'm looking to select the best solution for the audio codec side of things. Perusing the website, it looks like using an EVM is the best bet (PCM4202EVM, PCM3070EVM, etc), as it includes I/O jacks as well as powerful codecs, but I'm unsure which is the fastest while meeting all my minimum requirements. I would greatly appreciate guidance!

    none of our Codec EVMs will have onboard FPGAs, some do have integrated DSPs. The PCM4202 is a great device, but it is only an ADC and does not have an integrated DSP, so keep that in mind. The PCM3070 is a great device, but you may need to do some modifications if you want specific I/O jacks. I believe that eVM has a few 3.5mm jacks and some terminal connectors. that is pretty standard for most of the Codecs. The PCM4202 has XLR but those are very different devices aimed at high end professional applications.

    Judging by the PCM4202EVM picture, there are 2 XLRs (probably 2 stereo inputs considering you said there is no DAC).
    The product description says, "This PCM output is made available at terminal J4 and AES3 encoded outputs at RCA jacks."
    The spec sheet says "Buffered Audio Serial Port supports a two-channel, 24-bit linear PCM data interface for external hardware and signal processors. Sampling rates up to 216kHz are supported."

    1. Is the idea to hook up an external microcontroller with I2S support to control the 4202EVM in its slave mode configuration? 

    2. The only downside I see to the PCM3070 is the low maximum RMS input voltage (0.75). Judging by the fact however that the PCM3070 is a full-codec embedded RTOS with built-in audio I/O this will be the better(best?) product to buy for my use-case. Is this a safe assumption? 

    3. Do you have pictures of both devices?

    There are 2 mono balanced inputs.  these are buffered using the OPA1632 opamp.  you can take a look at the schematic in the User guide if you like. 

    1.  The PCM4202EVM can be used as master or slave.  Its up to you. 

    2. I'm not sure what you mean when you say "a full-codec embedded RTOS with built-in Audio I/O".  you would still need a host processor to configure the device, etc.. 

    3. I don't have a picture of the PCM3070.  But I imagine it is very similar to the AIC3254 which looks like this:
