TLV320AIC3268: TLV320AIC3268 I2S

Part Number: TLV320AIC3268

Dear,

Our ctm want to use TLV320AIC3268. And now have some question need your help.

1.  Can we loop every 2 IIS to transfer audio data from one IIS to another?

2. Could the 3 IIS work at the same time with different data rate?

 Thanks!

Sundy

  • Hi, Sundy,

The 'AIC3268 features three independent audio interfaces, it is possible to mix them within the miniDSP of the device or stream the content from one to the other. All three audio interfaces are capable of working at the same time with a different sampling rate, but you need to make sure that the clock settings for both ADC and DAC of the codec are set to match the sampling rate of the digital interface connected to them.

  • Dear diego,

Another question about AIC3268 need your help.

If A IIS is 8Ksps data rate input, B IIS is 16Ksps output. Does AIC3268 can transfer the A IISinput data to B IIS by seting some parameters?

    Thanks!
  • Hi, Sundy,

If the audio serial interfaces have a different sampling rate, it is not possible to mix them together, so an external sampling rate converter might be required to achieve the mixing. This is because the miniDSP of the device, where the audio interfaces can be mixed, runs with a clock that is dependent of the device sampling rate, so it is not possible to use multiple signals at different sampling rates within the miniDSP.
