TLV320AIC3206: Routing signal through AGC

Part Number: TLV320AIC3206

Hi.

I have a project where I'm using an external AGC before the TLV320 chip.

But I was thinking maybe I could simplify the design by using the built in AGC.

The problem is that I'm doing analogue signal processing after the AGC.

So the question is. Can I route the signal through the fist AGC then out on the line out, through the analogue circuit, and then back in on the second channel?

Can I do this while also using one mono i2s MEMS microphone?

  • Hi, Kristian,

The routing you are showing is actually possible for the application you are describing. One thing to note is that you mentioned you are using an I²S mic, if that is the case you need to use the I²S port of the device to capture the data, not the Digital mic interface.
