Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPA6404-Q1
Hallo TI Team,
I just got the TPA6404Q1EVM Evaluation Board to evaluate this chip for a customer. For the first tests it seems to work fine.
For some more audio evaluation with our audio guys i wanted to turn it over to them, but noticed that the board does not save any settings. So after every Power-on, we have to connect with the PurePath 3 Software to at least enable the output channels. And this software needs this lengthy registering process, which is bad if multiple people should evaluate the sound we can generate with this board.
Also we wanted to use the eval board in a demo unit for the new product at a trade show, which of course also will not work if we need to enable it over usb every time it is turned on.
Is there any way we could enable the outputs by default, or save some settings ?
Another question is, are there any pads for the i2c communication to the chip ? If we are not able to save the settings, maybe we could attach our own microcontroller to setup the board after power-on ?
kind regards,
Dominik Wenger
