TLV320ADC3101: sound measure consult

Hi all, one of my customer wants to measure their sound and use it to control the brightness of LED. For I am a freshman in this area, can you recommend some solutions for me to understand how we can do so? Or do you know some TI parts that can measure the sound and convert it to digital or analog quantity that can be read by MCU. Thank you very much!

    Hi, Charles,

    I am not familiar with a device specific for this purpose, but The ADC3101 is an audio ADC which is capable of reading an analog input and convert it to digital audio format. I think that for an application like this, if the ADC3101 is used, the host processor should be able to read the digital audio and internally measure the amplitude to adjust the brightness of the LED.
