TPA2028D1: Is I2C must be used?

Part Number: TPA2028D1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPA2029D1

Dear team,

My customer want to choose a 3W mono amplifier with power limit function. I found TPA2028D1 may be suitable for their application. Please help double confirm. Is there any other low cost device they can use?

If TPA2028 is the choice. I saw in datasheet, it said Flexible Operation With/Without I2C™. Can we use it without I2C? Thanks.

BR,

Rory

  • Hi Rory,

You could have a look at next device: TPA2029D1. This device has an AGC and doesn't have an I2C circuit.
You can use the TPA2028D1 without I2C, but the device will work with the default setting.
