TLV320AIC3105EVM-K: TLV320AIC3105EVK

Part Number: TLV320AIC3105EVM-K

Hi,

We are trying to interfacing TLV320AIC3105EVM to i.MX6ULL Processor board for one of our project purpose.

we are facing problem with the One of Audio codec board is not detecting USB.

In the USB board  there is an LED for USB active Indication which is also not glowing at the movement.

Please suggest how to debug this issue as earliest.

Note: we have a total two TLV320AIC3105evk which is not yet interfaced with i.MX processor board if that was tried to plug with problem suspected Evaluation USB board that was fine.

Now we wondering whether the board which was interfaced with I.MX processor board has done any problem. Please suggest how to go further ahead.

now we have doubt to connect working evm board to Processor .

Regards,

Namith

  • Namith,

Can you tell me about the AIC3105EVM board that you interfaced with i.mx processor? how did you do this?

The USBMODEVM board has a TAS1020B USB processor on the PCB that handles all of the I2C communications between the GUI and the Codec. have you disabled this at all?

  • Namith, I haven't heard back from you. so i am going to assume you have resolved this issue. please let me know if I can be of any help

  • Hi,

We need to connect 8ohm speaker for the codec HPLOUT  and HPROUT  for testing purpose. may i know how much power speaker load we can connect to the codec.

    waiting for the quick reply.

    Regards

    Namith

  • Namith,

8ohms is too low for the HPL and HPR outputs. Minimum = 16ohms single ended. The minimum if running differential is 32 ohms.

  • Hi Steve,

I have two 8 ohm speakers, as you have suggested i have made 16 ohm speaker bu connecting two 8ohm in series.

Connected the speaker to HPLOUT and HPLCOM i.e single ended configuration.

but when we play from Ti GUI instead of playing through speaker it was playing in headphone.

please let me know if changes are to be made to run through speaker.

    Regards,

    Namith

  • Namith,

you're going to have to explain your setup.   I assumed that you were talking about the Headphone outputs,  There is no "speaker" output,  there are two line outputs, and 4 headphone outputs.   The Headphone outputs are low impedance as I have described,  they can work for small speakers too, but the power would be rather low.

let me know what you're trying to do and I will do my best to help you.

    best regards,

    -Steve
