TAS5755M: Question of TAS5755 Maximum PBTL Output Power with 3ohm Load, 24V PVCC

Is this test conducted on the EVM or the customer board? What damage did they see? Is the customer using a resistor load or a speaker?

To reach 100W, a 2 ohm speaker is recommended.

This test is conducted on customer board with 3 ohm resistor load.

The NG sympton what we see is no PWM out and can't recover by AC off/on.

Jeff,

Wayne mentioned over email that adding thermal past improved the output power. Do you have a larger heatsink or thermal stream you can use to see if we can reach 100W?

At 100W the THD will be very high and therefore a very good thermal solution is needed.

Thanks for your concern. Customer increased output power (but still lower than 100W's target) by not only thermal pad, but also increasing inductor's current rating.
