TPA6203A1: Ripple calculation with PSRR value

Hi,

I am working with TPA6203A1 mono amplifier. I need to design a noise-free amplifier.

I saw 85-db PSRR for 90hz to 5khz from datasheet. I have calulated ripple value from that. Check check whether my calculation is correct or provide advise if you have any other approach.

Gain I have calculated from my design = 20 log (5.25) = 14.4 (Note: 5.25 vale is Vout/Vin value of Op-amp).

85 - 14.2 = 70.6 => 10^(-70.6/20) = 0.0003

Thus my Amplifier can tolarate 0.3mV ripple for every 1 V of supply. My supply voltage is 5V, thus it can tolarate 1.5mV ripple.

Is my calculation correct or I have to use any other approach??

If any other approach, it is appreciable to suggest me that solution.

Please provide me solution ASAP.

Hi Arunkumar,

Your calculations are right.
Keep in mind that the PSRR also depends on the design. The resistors need to be matched to 1% or better and the decoupling capacitors should be placed as close as possible to the device in order to get the better power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) of the amplifier.
