Hi,

How does TPA3121D2PWP react to a 20 usec rail transient on its power supply rails. In our current design, this device is powered with 24.5V and used more than 470uf bulk capacitor.

Basically I would like to know whether any upsets in Audio amplifier performence will be seen with the 20us rail transient or not. Please advise.

Hi Ranga,
How much voltage is the rail transient? If it's higher than 30V, there could be raliability issue.

Maximum Transient voltage is 24.5V, but I would like to know if any transient (24.5V to 0V) for 20us will cause any upset to Audio Amplifier operations.

Hi Ranga,
The voltage dropping during the transient is too much(from 24.5V to 0V), and the duration time is also very long(20us). Even large bulk capacitors can't compensate PVCC voltage drop. Then under-voltage FAULT could be triggered, the output stops playing.
