TAS2552: TAS2552EVK current measurement

Part Number: TAS2552

Hi,

I am using TAS2552 EVK power amplifier board. I have gone through the user guide of the same EVK, but I could not able to find the way how to measure current and voltage of my speaker load. I am driving power amplifier through Analog input and can hear sound at speaker. But don't know how to read current and voltage.

Can you please help me asap...

  • Hi Sreedhara,

    Welcome to e2e.
I assume you want to read current and voltage through I/V sense feedback. The I/V sense data is sent back to the host processor through the audio serial interface, so you should first setup the digital interface. Once the device is set up and I/V sense is routed to DOUT, you should be able to acquire the data from DOUT; you should have into account that data is coded in terms of digital full-scale. Current and Voltage full-scale can be found in device data sheet, specs table.
The measured data is real-time and changes continuously, perhaps you can read back the data by recording from DOUT.
