Hello Sir,

Is there over current or short circuit for TPA6205A1 output ?

If output +/- short together or short to GND , what's TPA6205 behavior ?

Hi Terry,

the chip seems to have an Internal thermal and short-circuit protection. See here:

Hi Terry,

The TPA6205A1 is designed with thermal protection that turns the device off when the junction temperature surpasses 150°C to prevent damage to the IC. TPA6205A1 will not be damaged by shorting its outputs together or each output to the ground because the amplifier's temperature will rise to the thermal protection trip point (150°C) and the amplifier will shut down so that it will not be damaged.
