TPA3125D2: Explanation of Plus/Minus Input in BTL Configuration

Part Number: TPA3125D2
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPA3138D2

I would like to use this amplifier to drive a single speaker with mono audio. I would like clarification and what is meant by plus and minus input and if it would be acceptable to set the minus input to ground and set the plus input to the source output.

Thanks,

Cameron

  • Hi Cameron,
TPA3125D2 supports single-ended input, and there is no minus input. I can't quite understand your question, could you please help to claarify it? Please refer to the datasheet: www.ti.com/.../tpa3125d2.pdf
For 10W output power application, we recommend the latest device: TPA3138D2, which has lower BOM cost, better performance and higher efficiency.
    Best regards,
