OPA1642: Date code question

Part Number: OPA1642

Hello,

I’d like to understand what the date code “1714+5” means. P/N OPA1642AIDR was procured twice, once with a date code reading "1714" and once with a date code reading "1714+5". I’d like to understand the difference I’m seeing in date code listed.

I reached out to the 'ti-counterfeit@list.ti.com' last week and still have had no reply.

Thank you.

I looked up the spec and this is what you should see:
Top line: 01642A (this is the part number)
Line2: TI logo, then YMS (Year, Month, Assembly Site Code. 3 digits only)
    Line 3: LLLL (Lot code)
Some parts may have the characters _G4 after the lot code, but these would be older parts. The G4 used to be the code identifying Green parts, but now all our parts are green so that code is obsolete .
I couldn't find anything about the +5 marking.

Did you purchase this from a TI approved distributor (Digikey, Mouser, Newark, Avnet, Arrow?) If so it's unlikely to be a counterfeit part.
Purchasing from non TI approved distributors is not recommended.

    Regards
    Dennis
  • Thank you. We did purchase from Digikey who has just confirmed it converts to 5th day of the 14th week of 2017. This date code is listed on the certificate of compliance.
