PCM2903: Application about the PCM2903

Part Number: PCM2903
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM2912A

Hi team,

My customer want to use the PCM2903 to connect the 2.75mm earphone with microphone and USB interface of CPU in server.

1. So can you help to comment if the PCM2903 can support to translate the audio signal from the microphone of earphone?

2. If the PCM2903 can't support, which part will be a good choice?

Lacey

Thanks a lot!

  • Hi Lacey,

the PCM2912a might be a better choice. It has a built in amplifier for microphone and earphone. Both devices only support UAC1.0 so that's something to keep in mind. but for most applications that should not be a problem.

    best regards,

    Lacey
    Thanks a lot!
  • Lacey,

The PCM2912A uses generic USB audio Class, I have not personally tested it with Linux4.1, but there is an EVM available.

I"m not sure what you mean by the "optional Rom" can you explain?

This device is currently Active, and we sell quite a few. There are no plans to discontinue this device in the near future.

    best regards,
