Hi,
The warning LED CLIP_OTW goes ON at very low input and output power. I have run several tests with different loads and the results are the same. With a 4 Ohm load the clipping warning raises with an input signal of 900 mVpp and the output is 12 Vrms and 3A. The input signal is a 1KHz sin from an AWG and the TPA is connected to a 200 W power supply. The board is supplied with 20V and 10A current limit. The supply current never exceeds 4.5 A. The device is operating in BTL mode.
I have not tried to go to higher power when the CLIP_OTW warning appears to avoid damage. Please advise if this is a normal operation setup and if it is safe to operate the device when the CLIP_OTW warning is ON so to go beyond 200 W.
Regards,
Load (Ohm) | Vin (mV) | Vout (Vrms) | I (A) | Pout (W) |
3 | 900 | 12 | 4 | 48 |
5 | 900 | 12 | 2 | 24 |
12 | 900 | 12 | 1 | 12 |
16 | 500 | 12 | 0.7 | 8.4 |
