TAS2552: Analog audio operation without any clocks?

Part Number: TAS2552

We want to use the TAS2552 as an analog audio input amplifier. So the I2S input is not used. Does the TAS2552 require any clocks apart from the SCL of the I2C interface to work properly?

  • Hi, Michael,

If only analog input is used, you don't require the use of I2S clocks. However, if you are planning to use the speaker I/V sense, you will need to have I2S clocks in your application since this feature requires of the digital interface.
