LM48511: Calculate Gain

Part Number: LM48511

Hi Sirs,

Sorry to bother you.

1. We would like check does TI have Class D AMP include stereo 8ohm/2w/5v? because i couldn't search on TI web side

2. We use LM48511 on Mono Mode design with 2W, Schematic as below

So, based on datasheet, the gain should be equal AVD= 2*Rf/Rin, right?

If we use dual single ended input design, how to calculate Gain? same AVD= 2*Rf/Rin

3. Could you help double check our schematic?

  • Hi Shu-Cheng,

I'll comment on your questions below:
    1. Is Digital Input an option? We have several boosted amps although most of them have digital input (I2S).
    2. Yes, gain calculation is the same, if you are adding two different sources you should consider the Rin value for each one. If Rin is the same for both, the gain formula will be exactly the same.
    3. The schematic is looking good. Please remember to place decoupling caps as close as possible to the IC.
