TPA3255: Can i use TPA3255 as 4 SE output with M1=0 and M2=0 ?

Part Number: TPA3255

In our application their is a requirement for the same PCB that can support 4 x SE or 2 x BTL.

We are wondering if we keep M1=0 and M2=0, can we use TPA3255 for 4 x SE ?

Hi PY,

You cannot use the device in SE mode, when the mode pins are set to the BTL configuration. The reason is the protection enabled in BTL will shut down the outputs when you try to output current from one half bridge that does not go back into the other half bridge (DC speaker protection).
