TLV320AIC3268: How to reduce white noise when recording and playback with tlv320aic3268

Part Number: TLV320AIC3268

When I use a TLV320AIC3268 to record from mics. I found if I use AIC3268 8x4x, Dec4xIn and Int8xout as the picture shown when the sample rate is 44.1KHz,  it will make the voice very low.

When I use AIC3268 2x1x,Dec1xIn and int2xout and the sample rate also is 44.1KHz. The sound is big enough, but it exists high white noise which frequency is from 0 to fs/2(HZ).

what should I do to make the voise clear and big?

  • Hi,

Using the AIC3268  with a sampling rate of 44.1KHz should work normally for record applications, if you are getting a low voice value, it is likely that  the input signal from the mic should be boosted, which can be done with the input PGA. If that doesn't work it is possible that the configuration of the device is having some issues. I was looking at the other post you did and noticed a capture of the codec control GUI. Are you using it to configure the device or is it a capture after the code from PPS is loaded into the device?. Can you please provide more details about the process you follow to load the registers into the codec?
