Hi team(or Steve).

We got this EVM , however we have a problem in this case.

Could you pls give me some advice.

I turned off the digital signature checking for my win10 PC according to your advice.

https://e2e.ti.com/support/audio/f/6/t/763314?tisearch=e2e-sitesearch&keymatch=%20user:374182

But my PC doesn't recognize this EVM.

The state of it is unknown.

Is that a correct?

If yes, Could you tell me how to next step?

Is it OK if we should follow the EVM troubleshooting guide(SLAA388A)?

If no, what condition is your PC ?

I would like to see screen capture of your PC's condition.

Sincerely.

Kengo.

  • Kengo,

did you follow these instructions too?

You will also need to download the windows vista and Windows7 driver on the EVM product forlder (located in the software section)

The driver folder contains two files:

    1. USB-MODEVM_vista&7.inf

    2. USB-MODEVM_WDM.inf

    Instructions for installing these files:

    USB-MODEVM_vista&7.inf Installation:
To apply the contents of this file to a system's settings, right-click
this file and choose "Install". If the device was plugged in before this
file is installed, the device will need to be removed from the "Unknown
Devices" class in the Windows Device Manager.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    USB-MODEVM_WDM.inf installation:

To apply the contents of this file to a system's settings, copy this file
to %SystemRoot%\inf and reboot the computer. If the device was
installed before this file is copied, the device will need to be removed
from the "Unknown Devices" class in the Windows Device Manager.

FYI the drivers were designed for windows 7 and vista, For windows 10, you will need to disable signature confirmation, but otherwise they work flawlessly

    best regards,

  • Hi Steve.
    Thank you so much.
We did it and will work it.

BTW, do you have some sample code?
If you have it, Could you tell me about what kind of sample code do you have?
We want to record with some microphone of 48kHz/32bit.

    Sincerely.
    Kengo.
