TAS2505-Q1: Over Temperature Protection threshold

Hello,

Our customer wants to know OTP threshold temperature and hysteresis characteristics to pass internal design review process.

We have seen some of D-amp devise specified those number on the datasheet however TAS2505-Q1 did not describe any absolute number.

Does a design typical value would be good for you? It is most likely that threshold is somewhere around Operating Temperature.

In the case of TPA3255 datasheet, there is following specification.

OTW　　120℃+/-10℃, Hysteresis 20℃

OTE 140℃+/-10℃, Hysteresis 15℃

The bast case, our customer look for such kind of number, at least worst condition (max) specification is needed.

Mochizuki-san,

Design is taking longer time to obtain this value. Would a test with an EVM be good for you? This would also take some time as we need to take the device into a temp chamber for the test, but could be easier/faster than waiting for design values.
If this last option is good, I can contact you once we get the temp threshold.

Thank you for your continuous effort.

Our customer wants to review thermal design margin of their system board.

The reading value of EVM in thermal chamber is just one of random device performance.

We will not know this value is located (Typ) or (Max) statistically.

I would like to hear design specification value.

About the threshold: 150C is the typical limit.
Hysteresis is designed for typical 30C.
