TAS5342LA: Can the thermal pad be connected to ground?

I want to improve the thermal conductivity on existing design by using metal-based thermal grease instead of an insulating TIM.

The datasheet does not show if an electrical connection to any net is allowed for the thermal pad of the TAS5342LA.

hello,

will heatsink connect to PCB ground? I don't see risky to do like as what you proposed.

Yes Linda,

the heatsink is connected to ground.

Is there any documentation on the web that I missed about the electrical connection of this pad?

there is no more documentation of TAS5342LA. we have some practice to run like this. You can continue your experiment to verify it.
