SRC4184: Floating SDINA pin

Hi,

We have one customer who is asking if it's okay to float either one of below two pins:

SDINA - SRC A Audio Input Data

SDINB - SRC B Audio Input Data

We know that the two Sources can function independently but we do not know if it's okay to keep one of the audio input floating without affecting performance of the device. Or is there a method to terminate floating pins?

Hi Art,

Leaving SDINA or SDINB floating should not cause performance degradation. However, leaving one of the pins floating may cause some excess power consumption from the device.

I would recommend using the Soft Power-Down feature to power down the register containing the unused input.
