LM1875: Question On Mica Insulator

Part Number: LM1875

Hi,

At LM1875’s hole (screw location), have to put insulator part to avoid short circuit between IC and screw or body.

Checking on LM1875 datasheet Page 8, it mentioned about mica insulator.

About that, do you have any recommendation on insulator that we can use? Any proposed supplier?

Or any other recommendation to avoid short circuit between IC and screw or body?

Regards,

Phil

  • Hello Philip

Outside of the information in the datasheet about the thermal resistance if a mica insulator is used, we don't have information on specific insulators or what supplier to get it from. That type of information is more specific to TO-220 package, we just have information on the power dissipation and heat sink consideration for the LM1875 as noted in the datasheet not general information about the TO-220 package.

    Best Regards,

    Luis
