Hi,

I would like to know if it's possible to perform real time audio processing using I2C with the TAS5727. I saw that there is a PWM level meter out on the datasheet what is the original use of it ? And what is the refreshing time of this information ? Is there any other features on the TAS that can help me perform real time audio processing ?

What are your requirements for real-time audio processing? Note I2C is only used to program the registers of the device and to read device status.

I want to use the pwm level meter out to know when the TAS is used and how loud is the sound.

Do you know what is the refreshement time of that information ?

Also, what is the original use of the "pwm level meter out" function?

Hi Lucas,

a) Do you know what is the refreshement time of that information ?

[Andy] Levels are calculated with each sample at the Fs rate.

b) Also, what is the original use of the "pwm level meter out" function?

[Andy] It is used to provide info about the output level (after processing).
