TAS5766M: Mono Operation to 2.8KHz

Part Number: TAS5766M

Hi All,

The Pure Path 3 development kit software limits mono operation to 1kHz & below.  My customer typically uses the register dump from the EVM & have it programmed into their firmware.  The project they are working on is a single point stereo configuration, where the woofer hands off to two tweeters at ~2.8kHz.  They want to run mono up to 2.8kHz, is there a work around for this?  In other words, can they just edit the dumped register setting for this parameter & if so where would do they find it?

Thanks & regards, John Garrett TI-AFA

  • HI John,

May you give more information about the test setup and condition?  what is the audio source frequency? the output frequency depends on audio source frequency.

  • Hi Garrett,

Could you specify more details of current issue? it's not quite clear.

How many TAS5766 in the system? (maybe 2 devices, one for PBTL mono Woofer, one for BTL stereo Tweeter, is it correct?)

What's the meaning of 1kHz / 2.8kHz limitation? Is it the frequency response curve? If so, please share us your ppc3 configuration file.

    Regards,

    Matthew
