TLV320AIC3268: EVM results vs actual board design

Part Number: TLV320AIC3268

We have been having good results with the TLV320AIC3268. Now that we are refining the build, we noticed a difference between the development board and real life. Using PurePath, we have a PEQ equalizer in the design. The development board (EVM-U) gives a very fast and smooth response to the slider changes. We get a noticeable delay and click when making changes to the registers. Can you provide any insight?  Thank you.

  • Hello Dan,

When you are changing the coefficients,  are you following the procedure for Adaptive filtering?

See the Datasheet section 8.3.2.8.7 for ADCs  and 8.3.3.6.2 for DACs

There are two banks of coefficients A and B for each filter, the active Coefficients should not be changed,  only the inactive buffer,  it is recommended that all of the inactive coefficients be written before toggling the buffers.

    best regards,
