Dear team,

Customer wonder what application may use DRV632?

They found the internal structure of DRV632 and TPA6138A2 is similar. During their application, they must have a headset PA, so could they only use TPA6138A2? Their test result shows only DRV632 the power is not enough.

    Hi, Sammi,

    Yes, both the DRV632 and the TPA6138A2 share a similar architecture. However, as you mentioned, there are differences in the output power. The DRV632 is designed for line applications, it actually supports loads of the order of kohms.

    In case of the TPA6138A2, it is a headphone driver, which can support headphone loads down to 16ohms. The TPA6138A2 would be the best option for a headset PA.
