TLV320ADC3100: AGC setting

Part Number: TLV320ADC3100

Hello,

The model we are developing uses AGC function of TLV320ADC3100.
We checked sound with the below register settings,
we could hear unbalanced sound level of Lch/Rch by depending on input signals.
Normally, the input signals of Lch/Rch are not exactly the same,
So it seems that the AGC of one channel is trun off sometimes.

Therefore, I think that it's caused by the setting of AGC.
So I'd like to ask for advice  on how to improve the setting.

Regarding to our AGC setting, in register86-93 for Lch and register94-101 for Rch.
Lch and Rch have the same settings.
register 86, 94   10000000
register 87, 95   10100000
register 88, 96   00010010
register 89, 97   11111000
register 90, 98   00000000
register 91, 99   00001100
register 92, 100  00000011
register 93, 101  00000000

If you need any other information for our register setting,
please let me know.

Thanks & Best Regards,

  • Hi Team,

My customer is waiting for your answer. Could you help him?
    Best Regards,
    Kazuto
  • Kazuto,

Can you provide some more details on what is going on?

it sounds like you are saying that you are providing the same input signal to both channels and getting an unbalanced response from the AGC is that correct? if so,  can you give some insight into how different the channels are?

    best regards,

    -Steve

  • Dear Steve san,

    Thank you for your reply.

Sorry, it seem that it's difficult to tell the situation well, so I'll change the way of my questions.

Our AGC setting is the same for LEFT and RIGHT like above now.
If one channel exceeds noise threshold and the other channel does not exceed noise threshold,
it seems that the GAIN is added differs depending on the channel.

For example, is it possible to make settings so that GAIN is added to both channels when one channel exceeds noise threshold ?

    Thanks and Best Regards,

    Nakaegawa
