TPA3110D2: TPA3110D2 PLIMIT Function

Hi.

I designed the AUDIO AMP board using the TPA3110D2.

I'm trying to adjust the output gain using a variable resistor between GVDD and PLIMIT, but it doesn't work.

At this time, Gain0 and Gain1 applied Low.

When I change the PLIMIT voltage, the output volume does not change.

Does the PLIMIT function not work in the Mono Input mode?

Test Condition --> PVCC : 12V, Input : Pin 12(RINP), PBTL : High, Gain0/Gain1 : Low, Mono Input

Hi ChangKyu,

The PLIMIT is used to limit max output power, not output gain. GAIN0 / GAIN1 is used to adjust analog gain.

OK. I got it.

I have further questions.

The voltage at PIN 12 (RINP) of the TPA3110D2 is always maintained at 3V.

Is that the normal?

Hi ChangKyu,

TPA3110 has internal Vbias 3V, it will charge the input caps to 3V. It is normal.\
