TPA3106D1: output LC Value of magnetic beads

Part Number: TPA3106D1

According to the recommended output LC, use the magnetic bead fair rite 2512067007y3 --- this is a 3A, 1206 package magnetic bead, but the PCB space is limited. I want to replace it with a 0805 package 3A magnetic bead blm21p221sn. Does it affect the driving ability of tpa3106d1? Does it affect the sound quality?

What's the output power and load impedance?

If the Ist is larger than Iout, that's fine.

1. Which current parameter is ist referring to?

2. The current load is 4 Ω 8W, and a higher power load may be used in the future. Is it possible to choose the current magnetic bead (0805 package 3A magnetic bead blm21p221sn) and capacitance (1nF)?

3. What is the relationship between load impedance and power and the choice of LC output devices?

Hi Ping,

1) The Rated Current of the bead, and the impedance (at 100MHz). Larger impedance will be better for EMI.

2) That'f fine for your application.

3) Low impedance will have high current at same output power. So you need select high rated current bead.
