Hello,

I need to replace a TAS2552 with a TAS2562. I succeeded with the TAS2552 but not with the TAS2562.

I work on an IMX6 with a YOCTO distribution. I use the I2C driver (TI sources) and everything seems to be good. Now, i need to interface the TAS2562 with the IMX on an I2S port.

For the TAS2552, I found the right one. You can see in : www.google.com/url

Can I reuse the same driver and adapt for an TAS2562 or is it completely different ?

I just use the tas2562-regmap.c for the i2c configuration. But I don't know what the others are really for.

I need the driver for the I2S configuration between an IMX and the TAS2562.

Some coments from our software team:

TAS2562 driver is available in ti git at https://git.ti.com/cgit/tas256xsw-android/tas2562-stereo-android-driver/log/

It’s a stereo driver, but the file https://git.ti.com/cgit/tas256xsw-android/tas2562-stereo-android-driver/tree/dts.readme can be referred to configure it as mono or stereo.

I succedeed to implement my tas2562. I have one question, The IRQZ is obligatory or not ?

If not, is it possible in the driver to desactivate it ?

IRQZ is not obligatory from hardware perspective.

I'll ask software team about driver and provide their comments within the next couple days.

Hi Henri,

IRQZ can be ignored both on HW and SW.

For SW the dts file entry must be removed: ti,irq-gpio = <&gpio1 15 0>;
