TPA6120A2: Load resistance of audio amplifier

Is TPA3111D1-Q1 could support 600ohm output impedance? And how about the THD+N performance when it output 125mW with 600ohm speaker?

Hi Fery,

Theoretically, class-d amp only have the minimum loading limitation because of current capability considerations. To output 125mW, V^2/2/600=0.0125, you will need a >12.2V PVDD. TPA311X device can support this PVDD range. I would suggest you to use a >14V PVDD to avoid voltage clipping.

For the THD+N, you may take a reference to the datasheet plot. Basically we can expect better THD+N performance than 4/6/8R loading condition.

BTW, could you tell me what's the 600ohm loading is?
